Y10 R.E. Day
The focus of the day was on issues of life and death.
Students put questions to three different panels composed of Christian, Muslim, atheist, humanist and Buddhist concerning issues of life and death. The quality of the questions was positively commented by all the panel members, in particular, the GCSE group received exceptional praise for their depth of knowledge and understanding and ability to apply reasoned consideration to the answers given. Furthermore, specific individuals’ high quality of contribution to the day will be recognised with a ‘pupil of the week’ award.
All pupils were given the opportunity to develop their questioning skills and appreciate the particular skill of in depth questioning and also encourage them to think!
