Mr Tarbox and Mr Spencer attended the Duke of Edinburgh Award 60th anniversary celebrations at Buckingham Palace on 16th May and were joined by staff from Lancashire YPS, who help Bowland run DofE, and some ex pupils who were receiving their Gold Awards from Prince Edward.
As part of the ceremony, Bowland High was presented with a plaque by Hannah Cockcroft (Para Olympic wheelchair sprint champion) in recognition of their achievement in gaining Licensed Organisation status. Each group was entertained in the Palace grounds, which were resplendent with rhododendrons and perfectly maintained.
