This week, 9 Walker and Miss Machen orchestrated a whole school collection of cans for the Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal! The form had to present an assembly on “giving” and decided, after a discussion about less fortunate families in our area, to take action rather than just talk about giving!
Every member of school was asked to bring a can to assembly and as ‘can’ be seen from the photographs, Bowland pupils made a fantastic effort; with over 550 cans presented to the Clitheroe Branch of the Salvation army.
9 Walker are really pleased with the response to their appeal and are hoping to make it an annual event. They would like to thank everyone who responded to their appeal and donated a tin and were amazed at what could be achieved in one day.
