Year 10 historians visited the Imperial War Museum North at Salford Quays this week. The museum reflects on war and conflict from 1914 up to the present day. Pupils were asked, in particular, to consider the effects of conflict and to empathise with the men, women and children who have found themselves involved in conflict and war around the world.
Year 10 were also directed to exhibitions about the Cold War, which forms part of the GCSE course. The brave amongst us went to the very top of the museum building to view Manchester from on high, focussing on the areas bombed during the 1940’s.
