Make it With Mince

“Three talented young Bowland chefs – Lucy Armer (Year 9), Kelsey Rutherford and Jack Harris (Year 10) travelled to Manchester to cook for celebrity chef James Martin after being shortlisted as regional finalists in the Red Tractor Make It With Mince challenge.

Jack and Kelsey were awarded highly commended certificates for their dishes – Avocado Stuffed with Chilli Beef (Jack) and Lancashire Moussaka (Kelsey), whilst Lucy gained second place with her Spicy Lamb Parcels.

All three produced dishes of an exceptionally high standard against some very tough competition and had a fantastic experience cooking alongside a top chef.”
