Year 10 pupils have been studying ‘Wuthering Heights’ by Emily Bronte for their GCSE in English Literature. In order to help them understand the social and historical context of the novel, Miss Holden arranged a trip to Howarth, accompanied by Mrs Credie and Mrs Taylor.

Pupils participated in an interactive lecture about the Bronte family history and then were led on a guided tour of the vicinity, including the church yard, eventually being left to soak up the misty, windswept atmosphere of the moors.
