Gulliver entered a competition with The Royal Town Planning Institute. He had to consider his ‘big idea’ for the future and the theme was “What 3 things could you recommend in your local area to drastically reduce greenhouse emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change”.
Gulliver came up with a scheme to repurpose the Castle Cement site when they could no longer quarry it. He would like to recreate the Eden Project in Cornwall to the north of Britain.
He also had the idea to ‘rewild’ the pockets of land between towns and villages, to return them to their natural state and as they would have looked hundreds of years ago, leaving the land to self seed, reforest and for wildlife to flourish.
