Ex-Bowlander Harvey Doing Well at Accrington Stanley
I am delighted to provide an update about former pupil Harvey M who is enjoying a positive start to his scholarship with Accrington Stanley FC having been signed by the professional academy during his latter years at Bowland.
The club has had a decent start to the season, with Harvey and his U18 team mates currently on a winning streak of 6. Within this winning streak, Harvey is clearly impressing his coaches and has started off these 6 games.
Most recently, Harvey represented the U18’s in the FA Youth Cup against Wigan Athletic in what proved to be a tough draw. However, Harvey and the team required extra time to overcome their opponents with a 4-3 victory progressing to the next round vs Bolton Wonderers.
Not only is 17 year-old Harvey performing well in the U18’s, but his performances have earned him a place in the U23’s squad on a a couple of occasions this season, which is an impressive feat as a 1st year scholar.
We would like to wish Harvey continued success and will be keeping an eye on his upcoming matches.
Keep up the good work Harvey. Once a Bowlander, always a Bowlander!
Mr Gleave
