Croasdale Brook

For once, the geographers have conducted their field work in glorious sunshine. Year 10 and Year 11 GCSE geography students have been out this week, measuring Croasdale Brook, a tributary of the River Hodder, as part of their controlled assessment. Mr Spencer, Miss Clarke and new colleague, Mr Procter, have accompanied them and now look as if they have been to the Mediterranean for the week! Mr Handley has kindly allowed us to use his farm and facilities again and everyone welcomed a stop at the café in Slaidburn to buy ice cream on the way back to school. Every group has worked very hard and shown exemplary behaviour.
