Competitions

16 acts from years 7 – 11 entered into the annual Bowland’s Got Talent show, now in its tenth year! Dancers, singers and instrumentalists competed to win the £100 prize and the BGT trophy. The winning three acts are as below

  • 1st – Millie and Rory McLeod
  • 2nd – Fret 64
  • 3rd – James Walsh

Wild card winner – Bethany Ferguson

These acts then went on to represent Bowland in the valley GRAB competition organised by the Grand. In the semi final our four acts were competing against four acts from CRGS. The level of talent at this semi final stage was incredibly high and the acts from Bowland amazed the audience and received excellent feedback from the judges. Four acts from the semi final went through to the final and three of these four acts were from Bowland. Bethany Ferguson, Fret 64 and Millie and Rory McLeod were our successful semi finalists and stepped up their rehearsals to appear in the final on the 7th February.

It was a fabulous year for Bowland as Fret 64 won the competition and Bethany Ferguson got a well deserved second place.
