As part of their ‘countdown to Christmas’, staff at Bowland organised a Christmas Fair on 1st December. The event was very well attended by pupils, parents, staff and friends of the school. The school choir gave a special preview of their talents supported by Miss Kellow; they sang a number of songs and carols to put people in the festive spirit. The kitchen team served delicious mince pies and mulled wine and our DT Food pupils set up a stall full of delicious homemade treats.
School has been delighted with the support and was very grateful for all the stall holders including many pupils and local providers for their support. The event was so successful that it has already been pencilled in the calendar for 2023.
As part of the ‘Countdown to Christmas’ school held a wellbeing Wreath Making Workshop. Staff, parents and friends had a great evening 8th December when they took part in the wreath making workshop. Sue McCormack from Ribble Valley Flowers and Gifts came to school to demonstrate how to make a Christmas Wreath. With mulled wine, stollen and Christmas tunes. The group had a great start to the Christmas festivities. Looking at the results I think Sue needs to be careful next year, she has some serious competition.
