7 Curnock Fun Run

19 May, 2016
Charity

On Monday 9th May, 7 Curnock completed a sponsored run.  We organised the run to support a charity called the ‘Solomon Project’ (www.thesolomonproject.co.uk).

7C all ran for 20 minutes during Monday lunchtime, we ran as many laps of the school field as possible in the time we had.  Everyone gave it their all and, as a result, we were all very tired after it. But it was all worth the effort. Our grand total of money raised was £230.

This will go a long way to supporting the charities goals of ‘feeding children and educating lives’ of street children in Kenya. The charity is able to feed one child for a whole year with just £17.  So – with the money raised from our 20 minute run – 15 children will have enough food for a whole year!  Well done, 7 Curnock.
